IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHOW YOUR APPRECIATION FOR THIS SITE, PLEASE MAKE A DONATION. It'll only take a minute or 2 of your time and it'll encourage me to continue updating this site. Thank you. I'm a poor college student. Violins please.Getting well over 6,000 visitors a year, it would seriously cover the hosting bill if each of you donated as little as a penny! :-) (Though, naturally, you're encouraged to give more :-D )

3D COMPUTER ANIMATION
Fall 2001

For the second project, we were given four words- Haunted, Puffy, Silly, and Squash- which we had to render to emulate the physical properties of each word through the use of font style, coloring/texture mapping, lighting, animation/motion, and mood of environment.

Frame 0. Frame 99. From first frame, camera dollies and turns to this view.
HP110c.jpg
HP213c.jpg
Frame 110. Door on "H" keeps opening and shutting and light comes on in "H." Frame 213. Lights in remaining letters randomly flicker before becoming steady.
HP226c.jpg
HP285c.jpg
Frame 226. Letters comprising "Puffy" (individual ghosts) begin floating out of the "Haunted" House. Frame 285. Puffy ghosts reach the fence.
HP375c.jpg
HP420c.jpg
Frame 375. Puffy approaches camera as Haunted sinks into ground. Frame 420. Remains of Haunted make the landscape look like a cemetery.

S28c.jpg
S114c.jpg
Frame 28. The opening frame is just the empty stage and then "Silly" begins to hop into view. Frame 114. "Silly" hops to center stage.
S174c.jpg
S222c.jpg
Frame 174. "Silly" begins to twist. Frame 222. "Silly" completely twists out of his shirt and tosses it aside (a fact that apparently went over my small class' collective head).
S268c.jpg
S380c.jpg
Frame 268. As "Silly" stands naked with his clothes in a pile to the side, a spot light comes on. Frame 380. "Silly" then faints and falls straight backwards.

Sq49c.jpg
Sq96c.jpg
Frame 49. Squash, a fly, begins to fly into the scene (more like a bird then an insect). Frame 96. Squash lands on the table as the fly swatter begins to slide off and the camera zooms in for a closer look.
Sq202c.jpg
Sq229c.jpg
Frame 202. Fly swatter begins to come down on fly. (This pic is too small to see all the detail that was in the fly). Frame 229. Fly swatter about to squash "Squash."
Sq251c.jpg
Sq277c.jpg
Frame 251. Fly swatter flattens fly. Frame 277. Fly swatter is picked up and fly begins to peel off.
Sq285c.jpg
Sq330c.jpg
Frame 285. Fly continues to fall. Frame 330. Remains of fly on table.
